Inside The Cottage, stylish interior decor and contemporary features enhance a sense of warmth, comfort, and understated sophistication. Immediately upon arrival, you will feel a sense of relaxation as the atmosphere soothes away the stresses of daily living.
The tranquility and peacefulness of The Cottage surroundings are interrupted only by the sounds of the native Tui and Bellbird performing their beautiful bird song or you may even get a glimpse of our native Wood Pigeon, the Kereru. In the evening, if you are lucky, you may hear the sound of the Morepork – New Zealand’s native owl – its haunting call echoing evocatively through the night air.
The Cottage at River Birches truly is your perfect escape alongside the magical waters of the Tongariro.
Self-contained luxury
The Cottage is self-contained, self-catering accommodation, but with service options available, if desired.
